Going Goa?

Best Time to Go:

November- March.
For festive mood 25th Dec-1st Jan. You can not beat live bands, late night beach parties, Sunburn, awesome people, fun and that energy.
If you want to have solitude avoid this new year bash time.

What to Wear:

Any kind of clothing you are comfortable in ;)
* Prefer shorts, skirts, jumpsuits made of cotton, it would be easy to change and dry, as near beach you can hardly resist yourself getting a dip.
* Hats, caps, scarfs and bandannas are good to have (to cover and your hair from direct sun).
* Water shoes, floaters, flip flop, slippers, avoid heels.

Pack Your Beach Bag:

* Solid and liquid cash, phone, I.D. proofs.
* Sunscreen and sunglasses, hand towel.
* Basic first aid kit.
* Swim diapers and water toys for kids.
* A large plastic bag, to bring back wet cloths.
* Most importantly a camera with a bigger memory card, who would not want those awesome memories to be captured!

Cool Tips:

* Choose a big, durable bag with waterproof lining and extra pockets.
* Secure your phone in ziplock to protect it from sand and water.
* Use your old lotion bottle to safekeep your money and keys.

Transportation:

Once you are there, You can rent a scooter, bike or car. Another good thing about Goa is that fuel price relatively cheaper than other states of India.
* Make sure you have your driving license, helmet and I.D. Proof.
* Drive carefully Pep Peep!!!

Hype vs Truth:

* Calangute is not the best beach in Goa, trust me. Its over crowded. Water sports are very expensive and very poor services.
* Colva is not white sand beach, its not, really!!! Sand of Varka beach is relatively lighter in color.
* Go Goa, Go Tito's!!! No, nope, nada, most hyped!!! Muddy floor, full length Bollywood songs, low brand liquor. Big letdown :(

Do not miss:

* Sunset point- Baga cliff, Anjuna beach.
* Casino Deltin.
* Aguada fort.
* Se Cathedral, Basilica of Bom Jesus, St. Francis of Assisi Church.
* Candolim, Varka, Anjuna beach.
* Refreshing coconut water.
* Exotic Goan fish curry.
* Dudhsagar Falls.
* Water sports and Dolphin watching.

What and From Where to Shop:

* Panjim is a good place to shop cashew fenny (local liquor) and cashew nuts.
* Wednesday Anjuna market is good to buy fashion jewelry, handicrafts.
* Saturday night Arpora market; handicrafts, beach wraps, funky dresses.
* You can shop handy-craft items made up of sea shells, mirror, printed scarfs, hats, patch work handbags, rugs.

Enjoy to fullest...

Back to Pavilion:

* Freeze some aloe vera gel and use it for sunburn.
* Mix fresh cucumber juice with curd and apply on affected area.
